I used to think that taking photos with your baby meant needing a tidy, spacious room with everyone perfectly dressed up, just to look good and share with the world. But now that my little one is almost one, I realised that compared to a "perfect" picture, the first year of motherhood might be a little exhausting and messy, but capturing those raw, authentic moments is what truly matters.

It’s about those touching moments—like learning to hold your baby for the very first time in the hospital, having your partner help you out of bed to dry your hair and get dressed, or the everyday routines of bathing, changing, and feeding. Before you know it, you are watching your tiny, soft newborn learn to roll over, crawl, and stand, with every stage bringing constant change as parents navigate each hurdle and learn right alongside their baby.

Time passes in the blink of an eye, and when you're busy and exhausted, the memories fade faster than you expect. Your camera roll will be filled with tens of thousands of photos of your baby, yet you might shy away from the camera, feeling self-conscious because childbirth and caring for a little one have left you with no time to dress up. But you can't turn back the clock, and as your child grows life will only get busier. As time goes by, all that's left are fragmented memories and a photo album where Dad is the only one in the pictures holding the baby.

That’s why I want to beautifully document this precious first year for you—without you needing to worry about your hair, your makeup, or a messy room, because this is simply about capturing you exactly as you are right now. I understand that these memories are deeply personal, so these photos will never be shared on my website or social media, remaining entirely and exclusively yours.
